A unique cycling journey.

A great introduction to cycling in Switzerland; mountain passes, exciting cities, clear lakes and authentic villages: you'll see it all during this multi-terrain adventure.

For experienced cyclists who want to discover touring or already enjoy the beauty of a multi-day trip and love to explore the backroads and journey along secluded paths. The days in the saddle are heroic, the food is nourishing and the lodges are all comfy.

You’re taking cycling back to the essentials: a bike, a sensational route to ride, and the self-imposed challenges that it brings.

You'll remember why you started cycling in the first place.

Your playground.

Day-to-day breakdown.

Ready to ride?

Where you’ll sleep.

Start the day with a healthy, rich breakfast at the hotel. Along the way we stop at several spots to stay fuelled and enjoy coffee, “gipfeli” and lunch. Keep your energy levels high all day with the included ride nutrition.

After a solid day in the saddle we’ll rest up in beautiful locations along the route. Dinner is served in the accommodation or restaurants close by. All the hotels and lodges have been personally selected. Each with their own unique features, authenticity and high quality facilities and friendly staff.

You'll be able to relax, refuel and fully recover by the end of each day knowing you'll be enjoying a good night's sleep.

A crowd of people gathered outside a white building with a sign that reads 'Ski Lodge Engelberg'. The building has balconies, large windows, and is surrounded by other buildings, with a hillside in the background. There are umbrellas providing shade, and some people are sitting at outdoor tables.

How to get there.

Car.

The drive from Amsterdam to Engelberg is around 8,5-9 hours. The distance is 865 km or 537 miles.

There’s free parking in front of the hotel, based on “first come, first served”. Share a car and make it easier on yourself and the environment.

We use Waze as our navigator through Europe. Quick, and easy.

Train.

Why drive when you can take the train? It’s just as fast and you can arrive completely relaxed.
We book our tickets through DB Navigator.

There’s a great connection with only 2 changes which brings you to the doorstep of the hotel in just 8 hours and 45 minutes. The train station is literally across the street from the hotel.
You can take your bike in a “soft bag” on the trains.

Airplane.

Prefer flying? You can either land at Basel Euro Airport (short bus ride to the station Basel SBB, bus #50, it's the only going from there) or in Zürich.
Excellent train connections take you about 1,5 hour to your destination: Engelberg.

Plan your train tickets in Switzerland on the SBB website. Look out for the sweet deals called “Super Saver” tickets.

“Taking on adventure and not knowing what will happen is what it's all about. Let's go, and see what happens.”
